Rum & Reggae Chester Cathedral – Ticket policy

This Ticket Policy applies  Rum & Reggae at Chester Cathedral - LEGEND: The Music of Bob Marley Saturday 17 October 2026. 

It does not replace or amend ticket policies applying to other Rum & Reggae festivals or events.

By purchasing or using a ticket for this event, you agree to this Ticket Policy. Entry to the event is also subject to our separate Terms & Conditions of Entry, Accessibility Policy, Prohibited Items Policy and other applicable event information published on our official website.

1. Ticket Validity

Only tickets purchased through Rum & Reggae Chester Ltd or one of our authorised ticketing partners are valid for entry.

Tickets purchased from unofficial sellers, social-media resellers or other unauthorised sources may be invalid and may not be accepted.

Each ticket contains a unique QR code which can only be used once.

- Your original digital ticket; or

- A clear screenshot of your genuine ticket and QR code.

Copied, duplicated, altered, cancelled, refunded or previously scanned tickets will not be accepted.

Please do not publicly share photographs or screenshots showing your ticket QR code.

2. No 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

Tickets are sold for a leisure event taking place on a specific date.

The usual statutory 14-day cancellation or cooling-off period applying to some online purchases therefore does not apply to this event ticket purchase.

This does not affect any other statutory rights you may have.

3. Doors & Arrival

Doors open at 6:45pm.

We recommend arriving between 6:45pm and 7:00pm to allow enough time for ticket and security checks, finding your allocated seat and getting settled before the live performances begin.

UKNOW CARIB are scheduled to begin at 7:45pm.

Guests arriving once a performance has begun may be required to wait until a suitable break before being shown to their seat, in order to minimise disruption to performers and other guests.

Immediate admission to your seat during a live performance cannot be guaranteed.

Late arrival does not entitle the ticket holder to a refund.

4. Age Requirement

This event is 12+.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over for the duration of the event.

Every person attending, including anyone under 18, must hold their own valid ticket.

The accompanying adult remains responsible for any under-18s in their care throughout the event.

Alcohol will only be sold or supplied to persons aged 18 or over and a Challenge 25 policy will operate.

Proof of age may also be requested at entry where reasonably necessary to verify compliance with the event's minimum age and accompaniment requirements.

5. Allocated Seating

This is a fully seated event and every ticket has an allocated seat number.

Your ticket is valid for the seat shown on the ticket.

Guests should not move to or occupy another allocated seat unless instructed or authorised by the event team.

For operational, safety, production or accessibility reasons, we may need to move a guest to another seat of a comparable standard.

6. Seating & Sightlines

The concert takes place in The Nave of Chester Cathedral.

Chester Cathedral is a unique historic building rather than a purpose-built theatre or concert venue. Architectural features, including pillars and the historic layout of the Nave, mean that sightlines can naturally vary between seating positions.

Where a seat is specifically sold as having a restricted, side or otherwise limited view, this will be identified where applicable when the ticket is offered for sale.

Minor variations in view arising from the historic character and architecture of the venue do not in themselves give rise to a right to a refund.

7. Ticket Transfers & Resale

Tickets may be transferred to another person provided the organiser is notified at least 24 hours before the event where a change of ticket-holder details is required.

The allocated seat attached to the ticket remains unchanged following a transfer.

- Resold for profit;

- Altered or duplicated;

- Used for unauthorised promotions, competitions or commercial purposes; or

- Sold through an unauthorised secondary ticketing source where this breaches the conditions of sale.

We cannot guarantee the validity of any ticket obtained through an unofficial third party.

8. Lost Tickets & Ticket Problems

If you cannot find your ticket before travelling, please check the email account used to make the booking, including your junk/spam folder.

If you still cannot locate it, don't worry - a member of the Rum & Reggae team will be available at the entrance to help with ticket queries and problems.

Where possible, please have available:

- The name used for the booking;

- The email address used for the booking; and

- Your order or booking number, if known.

We may ask for reasonable information or identification to verify a booking.

Any replacement or reissued ticket will only be provided to the original purchaser or verified booking holder, unless a valid ticket transfer has been recorded with us.

9. Tickets Purchased on the Night

Tickets may be available on the night only if the event has not sold out.

On-the-door availability is not guaranteed and advance booking is strongly recommended.

Any ticket purchased at the venue remains subject to this Ticket Policy and the event Terms & Conditions of Entry.

10. Refunds

Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable except where provided by this policy or where required by applicable law.

Refunds will not normally be provided because of:

- A change of personal plans;

- Illness;

- Travel disruption or delays;

- Failure to arrive in time;

- Choosing not to attend;

- Failure to meet the event's age requirements;

- Refusal of entry arising from a breach of the event Terms & Conditions; or

- Reasonable changes to supporting entertainment, performance times or the running order.

Nothing in this Ticket Policy affects your statutory rights.

11. Programme & Performance Changes

Advertised artists, supporting entertainment, timings and the running order are subject to reasonable change.

Where reasonably possible, we will communicate significant changes through our usual event communication channels.

If a significant advertised performer is unable to appear, we will make reasonable efforts, where practicable, to provide suitable replacement entertainment. A replacement cannot be guaranteed.

A reasonable alteration to performance timings, supporting entertainment or running order does not automatically give rise to a right to a refund.

LEGEND - The Music of Bob Marley is a tribute production celebrating the music of Bob Marley.

The event is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Bob Marley estate or its representatives.

12. Postponement

If the event is postponed or rescheduled, tickets will normally remain valid for the replacement date.

If you are unable to attend the replacement date, you may request a refund within 14 days of the rescheduled date being announced, unless a longer period is required by applicable law or the authorised ticketing terms.

Any refund entitlement will be dealt with in accordance with applicable law and the applicable authorised ticketing terms.

13. Cancellation

If the event is cancelled in full and is not rescheduled, ticket holders will be provided with information regarding the applicable refund process.

The amount and treatment of ticket charges or booking/transaction fees will be dealt with in accordance with applicable law and the terms applying to the authorised ticket purchase, rather than being automatically excluded in all circumstances.

14. Invalid or Fraudulent Tickets

Admission may be refused where a ticket:

- Is counterfeit or fraudulent;

- Has been duplicated;

- Has already been scanned;

- Has been cancelled or refunded;

- Has been altered or tampered with; or

- Cannot reasonably be verified as valid.

Where there is a genuine problem with a ticket purchased through an authorised source, please speak to the Rum & Reggae team at the entrance and we will do our best to resolve it.

15. Event Organiser & Ticketing Responsibility

Rum & Reggae Chester Ltd is the event organiser and is responsible for event ticketing and ticket enquiries.

Chester Cathedral is the venue and is not responsible for Rum & Reggae Chester ltd ticket sales, transfers, refunds or other event-specific ticketing enquiries.

16. Other Event Conditions

Holding a valid ticket does not remove the requirement to comply with the event's Terms & Conditions of Entry.

Admission remains subject to security requirements, age requirements and compliance with reasonable instructions from authorised event personnel.
